Aromatherapy has been used for many years to uplift and inspire us. It is the basis of the perfumery and cosmetic industry, however my passion for it comes for the use of aromatherapy in our health and wellness journey.
Your sense of smell is one of the five senses for the human body. It is also one of the most attuned sense we have, often used in an subconscious way. Just imagine the smell of grandma’s apple pie being baked? Did my question invoke a memory? Generally the body will automatically go back to a time when it could remember and sense the pie baking? It responded to a memory trigger.
I incorporate essential oils in my practice and use them to address emotional energy imbalances, to uplift and to anchor healing options for my clients.
The same concept can be used to anchor the feeling of calm, clarity,safety, harmony etc felt after a kinesiology or natural therapy balance. By using an essential oil within the therapy session the body can return to that safe space at a later time if needed by simply smelling the oil again.
