Soul Imprints – Easing the loss of our pets and fur babies
Coping with the loss of our pets and fur babies 🙁
My first significant pet was a ginger and white tom cat called Mischief. My family got him when I was a young teenager, and he had an amazing life with many adventures. He had a great personality and was in general quite protective, I can remember him baling up the garbage man as he thought he was the guard “dog”. He was also a one family cat, as whenever we had visitors he would disappear, to magically show up again when all was calm. He also coped with multiple family moves, so long as he was with us, he was happy. He lived to a very mature age, surviving cancer of the ears and at one time being run over, accidently, by our car. He decided to travel over the rainbow bridge at a time when a blessed great aunt of mine also passed away. I had also just had a baby and was kept very preoccupied. So, although I felt his loss, it became mixed up with many other emotions.
As a family we have loved and lost many precious pets and fur babies across the last 45 years. Our various menagerie has included dogs, cats, budgies, lorikeets and finches. Each with their own personalities and attributes. Overall, we have also been blessed with longevity with our pets, with our beautiful cat Lady, achieving 18 years of age and three of our dogs, Skip, Bulliet, Bailey also being advanced seniors.
What I have noticed is that I have felt the loss more deeply as I have also aged. This could also be due to the fact that when we experienced the loss as our children were younger, they required more of my time, so I had less personal time to grieve as deeply.
I also believe that we have special or soul connection to specific pets. My fur soul partner was my beautiful cat Lady (the one who lived until 18+). Although I am now foster caring for wonderful cats, who I love deeply, I had never felt as though I could replace Lady. These wonderful animal gifts, give us beautiful soul imprints during their lifetime to assist us to cope when they have crossed over the rainbow bridge.
Our last two, family dogs Bailey and Bulliet were also soul connections. Although Bailey was definitely deeply connected to my mum’s energy. Whenever she was in trouble or needed care, she went to look for my mum. Her passing also mirrored my mum’s end of life journey 🙁
Bulliet’s final years were as the older ‘brother’ to our sons two dogs. A time that he both liked and disliked, if that makes sense. The cranky grandfather being surrounded by two boisterous teenagers :). When the time came for Bulliet to cross the rainbow bridge, I felt it as a deep, raw emotion, but I was also kept somewhat grounded by my little grandchildren’s natural curiosity as to how and what happened…Children definitely appear to experience pet loss and death with more acceptance.
I was also noticing that many of my friends and acquaintances were also experiencing the loss of their fur babies. It got me thinking about our soul connections and how the memories of better times help to ease the pain. Grief is a natural experience, and it is right to grieve, plus we all grieve in different ways, methods and times. It’s a very personal journey.
Pondering on my feelings and with guidance from my angels I decided to create the newest Kinique’ly for You – Emotional Healing Mist. “Soul Imprints”. The beautiful soul imprints mist helps to heal the heart and soul. Whenever creating a Mist, I tap into my intuition and guidance, meditate on the words, the ingredients and importantly the reason it is required.
Blessings, I am sorry for your loss.
